The Best Breakfast is One with Lots of Cereal?
October 14, 2008 · 25 Comments
I got word from my buddy Brad Pilon (author of the popular Eat Stop Eat intermittent fasting ebook) that he was going to be on some morning show taped in NY. So I was excited that perhaps maybe the intermittent fasting message was getting some main stream attention finally. Then I saw the clip online of himself and a person who lost 60+lbs, and on the other side was a “Dr” and “Nutritionist”. That’s when the “Uh-Oh”... (read full article)
Intermittent Fasting Roundtable: The Experts Talk about IF for Fat Loss, Muscle and Health.
August 29, 2008 · 24 Comments
When I personally stumbled across the research and lifestyle of Intermittent Fasting (IF for short) many years ago, it just all made sense to me. In my past years I had been sold on needing protein every 3 hours or you would waste away. I was told everywhere that the only way to lose fat was to eat 6x a day (sure it can work, but only because of insulin control and lowered calories….but was it really sustainable for a lifetime?). But then I... (read full article)
Joe’s Lean and Ripped Transformation
August 12, 2008 · 24 Comments
Above is a photo of Joe before (230lbs, 20%+ Bodyfat in 2007) and after (170lbs, 7% Bodyfat in 2008). That’s about 35lbs of bodyfat lost! Note that this is not saying he got all those great results in losing weight and muscle definition on just IF, nor was it an overnight and quick success. Joe put in steady hard work and effort into his workouts, adopted healthy lifestyle habits and now enjoys more success/freeedom/results in finding how IF... (read full article)
Intermittent Fasting, Stress and Anxiety
July 8, 2008 · 21 Comments
A few people have commented about increased “anxiety” during Intermittent Fasting, so I thought I would share this discussion I had with someone about anxiety. As much as IF have brought people a more stress free life (along with all the other numerous health benefits) when it comes to eating, with others it also may amplify some underlying issues there are that need to be addressed (especially if one does IF too much too soon). It comes... (read full article)
Sure Fire Fat Loss
June 27, 2008 · 14 Comments
Today is a guest post from another Intermittent Fasting blogger by the name of Martin Berkhan. Martin has been getting great results with some of his clients using IF (especially those wanting to put on quality muscle while doing it). It’s my hope to bring together IF bloggers in the common goal of getting the truth and message out there to people about what can be done. This is just one example of a way that can get people results. Remember... (read full article)
What You Can Learn about Fat Loss and Gain from Sumo Wrestlers
June 12, 2008 · 13 Comments
photo by jainniec Ok I actually wanted to make a quick post on a comment made recently that said basically “Isn’t Intermittent Fasting how Sumo wrestlers get huge belly fat?”. In a sense there are some common variables, but also there are many that are not. Actually by looking at the sumo wrestler we can see how NOT to do an IF (or ANY eating plan) routine, be seeing how they do things on purpose to gain fat. So what is a Sumo wrestler’s... More Thoughts from Trainer Tells All
June 3, 2008 · 13 Comments
Photo by Grufnik Since the popularity of the original Trainer Tells All post, it’s inspired me to think some more and go into more detail about some things….the more I think….the more you have to read about it. Working out with cardio type workout in the AM and more weights in the PM might more replicate our ancestral patterns. Such as waking up on an empty stomach, going on the hunt, walking, running after prey here and there.... (read full article)

IF Review and Report
May 22, 2008 · Leave a Comment
First I would like to apologize to those waiting on the IF report….as I have found out the source my problem. As embarrassing as this is to admit, I have lost the original report file from my server ( I renamed another report by the same name and saved over it by accident). So, I have to rewrite it again from scratch so this is my project for the holiday weekend. I appreciate everyone’s patience as I resolve my error. I do have a report... (read full article)
Why You Shouldn’t Eat Breakfast…Again
May 21, 2008 · 45 Comments
Photo by hoveringdog So when you see that stack above….what’s the first thing that comes to mind? Well they are “whole wheat” so it must be healthy. Ha! You know what I think of? Going into a coma and sleeping for hours after I eat it. I imagine huge brain fog and needing a pot of coffee to stay awake for the day. I picture getting nothing really done but taking all day to do it. Breakfast….the illusion for health and... (read full article)
