Time Sensitive Info – TacFit Bodyweight Workout Deal till this Fri
Time Sensitive Message to Fitness Spotlight Subscribers Only – TacFit Bodyweight Commando Workout Deal Ends this Fri
It is funny timing because I was actually just working on a post for next week about all my workout progressions I have made over my lifetime. My focus nowadays is more about combining bodyweight strength/power/flexibility (mostly at home /outside of the gym) with also select weight training compound movements (in the gym on certain days).
The timing is that I actually just came across this bodyweight workout package that really looks interesting to me (it was literally just launched yesterday and there is a huge deal going on right now till Fri….so hence the quick message to you).
It is called the TacFit Commando Workout. Put simply it looks like the following:
- Not the same old boring normal movements of (pushups, squats, etc), but rather more fluid/explosive/greater ROM
- It combines explosiveness for more CNS activation (which can translate over into anything you do)
- It focuses on proper use of one’s body to prevent injury (I am really about this nowadays as I get older!)
- Full body metabolic conditioning (who needs boring cardio right?)
- and you know what….it just looks like fun!
For a quick background, it is created by Scott Sonnon who has been around the fitness industry for a while giving many TacFit seminars (which require big $$). This is the first time this program is being offered on the internet and is something that many people have been waiting for. Here’s a quick bio and video for more background info (Note: if you can not see the videos via email/RSS then click here for the original videos on Fitness Spotlight):
TACFIT® was created by RMAX International co-founder Scott Sonnon, former USA National Police Team Coach for Sambo submission fighting – part of the Police and Fire Fighter Olympics. As US Coach, Sonnon trained extensively for six years with the former USSR Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) and Special Operations Unit (Spetsnaz) Physical Conditioning and Performance Enhancement Specialists at the RETAL (Physical Skill Consultant Scientific & Practical Training) Center and was the first American to be licensed by the Russian government. Sonnon is one of a handful of individuals outside of the former USSR to earn the coveted “Honourable Master of Sport” – the highest athletic distinction recognized in the former Soviet Union.
He studied with a laundry list of secretive departments in the forgotten corners of the post-Soviet world: the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MVD) and Special Operations Unit (Spetsnaz) Physical Conditioning and Performance Enhancement Specialists, national and Olympic coaches at the RETAL (Physical Skill Consultant Scientific & Practical Training) Center, Baikanor Cosmonaut forces, Lithuanian secret police and border patrol, Estonian special forces, Latvian special police tactics trainers, and Mink’s famous “Alpha” Detachment Spetsnaz.
(seriously….got to love the intro and music!)
Pretty impressive stuff! What I like about it is the explosiveness and flexibility of the body movements he uses. I really need some flexibility training but there is no way my butt would sit through a yoga class (or do it at home…I sold those VHS tapes long ago). However these workouts look like fun recovery/dynamic days, where I can really work on my ROM while also learning how to prevent injury in bodyweight movements. Also I really do think it will transfer over well into increasing performance in all the other things I do (whether lifting or more fun activities).
I’m not going to BS you, I have not done these workouts before…but I am really going to give the TacFit Workouts a try for the next 4+ weeks (probably the basic version which is less expensive). At that point down the road I can give a better review of the workouts, but I suggest that if you think you would want to get started on them do it now while it is 51% off (or pay full price later on).
Here’s another video to give you a better understanding of the workouts and movements. Just trying some of the moves in the video below alone tell me I am in for a challenge, as I can’t do them like he does! (and I love a good challenge)
So if you are like me and think this is something you would enjoy putting into your workout routine already (maybe on off days, or in the AM), then I suggest you click here to get the TacFit Workout Program by this Fri at midnight (PST), as that is when the 51% off deal is over!
Worst case if you do want to try it out….and don’t like it, GET YOUR MONEY BACK (as they have a 60 day guarantee)!
