Special Feature: The Top Fitness Blogs at Zen Habits
Whenever myself or Scott get approached by any other blogger to contribute with an article or project, we feel very honored to help out. When that requests comes from one of the top bloggers that we both admire on the internet, well that is beyond words really.
Leo’s Top Fitness Blogs
With that being said, we would like to invite everyone to go over to Zen Habits today and read up on Leo’s personal top fitness blogs, as well as those bloggers top picks too. Yes, we did get mentioned by Leo himself (along by other bloggers). This is honestly an overwhelming recognition for 2 guys who just love what they do around here.
Click here and check out the post!
Be sure to also sign up for Leo’s RSS/email too as his material is always simple, inspirational, and top notch! (as over 150k readers can’t be wrong, right?)

I enjoy stumptuous: http://www.stumptuous.com/. It talks about women-specific fitness stuff as well as general form questions and encouragement for a beginner.
I also read http://paynowlivelater.blogspot.com/, which talks a lot about paleo eating and is my main inspiration to remove grains from my diet this year.
On a non-health-related website, I enjoy reading http://www.notspendingmoney.com/, which is relatively new, but has some tips for trying to spend less (or not at all) money in our lives.
I look forward to checking out the Zen Habits one.

@Melody – Good sites. Methuselah always does a great job at Paynowlivelater. I’ll have to check out the money saving one, as who doesn’t like that!

Thanks Jen. The best bloggers/writers out there are usually the ones who are truly passionate about what they talk about, and it seems you have that covered! Keep up the great work!

I was pleasantly suprised to see couple of blog sites I recently signed up this week at Zen Habits website. In my search for health topics, I ran across the blog of Dr. Michael Eades that I really like and signed up for his e-mails.
Check him out here at: http://www.proteinpower.com/drmike

Yes Dr Eades is a great one to follow as well, and look up all the stuff in the past he did on cholesterol especially. Very informative and eye opening (you may even want to get his old book Protein Power too).

Hi Mike,
I took your advice and read some of Dr. Eades past articles on fats, cholesterol, and sugar.
Contents of some of the articles I read were consistent with what I have read about the subjects from other doctors, experts, etc. but there were 3 replies from the doctor in one article on sugar that I found disappointing.
My education level on sugar topic is at best, layman’s level, and I know I will not see eye to eye with everyone’s opinion, but the response by the doctor about fruits, artificial sweetners, and fiber dropped his credibility rating with me.

There are several blogs out there that I read on a daily basis..they’re food blogs, but they deal with raw foods, as well as clean eating. The Fitnessista, Eat, Live, Run, Choosing Raw, Heather Eats Almond Butter and Carrots and Cake are several of my faves

Too many daily blogs and sites I check out to list, but to name a few other than the aforementioned:
Mark’s Daily Apple, Living Paleo, Robb Wolf, The Paleo Diet, Whole Health Source and Free The Animal are the more natural health/nutrition types.
For more of the training orientated sites & blogs: Theory to Practise, OPT, The Fit Cast, Bill Hartman, Alwyn Cosgrove, Dan John, Craig Ballantyne, Mike Robertson, Eric Cressey, Leigh Peele, Nate Green, Elite FTS, Tony Boutagy, Jason Ferrugia, T-Nation, several Crossfit sites…..
So yeah, I read a LOT of posts!
These guys don’t all necessarily agree 100% with each other 100% of the time, but the disagreements are the minutiae. They will ALL agree with each other on 90% of things, 90% of the time. The take away point from everyone is to eat clean, train hard and smart and live a good life!
Well done on getting recognised guys. You guys are one of the first sites I check out each morning.
Cheers.

Wow congrats! I’m a fitness professional and have just got into reading fitness and nutrition blogs. I found your blog to be very useful. The other blog I read is Mark’s Daily Apple . Did anybody see the “Open Letter to Taco Bell” that Mark wrote last week? One of the funniest posts I’ve ever seen.

Hi
This is my website: http://livestrongandsore.com/ which i created a few months back after years of keeping a private one. I am new to finding my passion for fitness and exercise after finding out my husband had colon cancer. I have changed my life and want to support and inspire others to do the same without any fancy gimmicks – the old fashion way.
I also read: http://theclothesmakethegirl.blogspot.com and http://www.fatcyclist.com/ for more inspiration of people who are making fitness matter in their busy lives.
cheers! steph
I enjoy

As a personal trainer and a gym owner I am always looking for new blogs to help with nutrtion, workout, and inspiration ideas for my clients and the members of our gym. I have a blog myself at http://www.illuminategym.com/blog. However, my blog focuses on exercise and the fitness industry as a business more than the blogs here. ZenHabits is a breath of fresh of air and I hope you continue to take your passion for fitness and share it with others to help them to achieve their fitness goals. Thanks so much.
